I chose COACH FOR THE FIRST PART OF THE JOURNEY: from Halifax to Montreal.
I chose LOWER BERTH(which affords one with every comfort and is known to be the best way to SLEEP ON A TRAIN, having a window view, as well) ACCOMMODATION FROM TORONTO TO JASPER.
One morning when I was struggling in a supine position, in my totally private compartment,(WITH MY CURTAINS BATTONED DOWN..THINK BOAT) in a car that was next to the DINING CAR( a string of passengers passing by, heading to breakfast, were quietly chatting. one commented “these are the people in the CHEAP SEATS…HA HA”, the reply was “ that or they are YOUNG AND AGILE”.
The only thing that rang true for me was CHEAP// AS I felt the reality of my body pulling up those pants, and the awkward placement of my bunnioned feet.
