The CANADIAN SHIELD forms the nucleus of the NORTH AMERICAN CONTINENT The Rocky mountains are relatively early in forming—60, millian years ago, compared to the rock formations found in Gros Morne–over 500 million years ago, during the 1ST CHAPTER OF OUR PLANTETS HISOTRY..THE PRECAMBRIAN PERIOD.
